These are my notes on programming, engineering and architecture collected from years of developing software. I write them in a blog so I can:
  1. Remember what I did using notes from work gone by in case it comes up again
  2. To understand better; I find I learn more about a subject by writing it down
  3. Make some progress on improving my horrible writing
  4. Help someone with the same problem. I have found all kinds of tips and tricks on programming when I was learning, and I still do.

There are articles on start-ups, company culture, education, math, and other stuff I feel the need to write down. It's pretty random!

I try to write based on understanding through observations, and I find the '5W' style useful. Firstly this is just about technology, math and building software to understand how that works. That is all good on its own!

The second group of posts are W5 observations are about building software as a commercial product with a team. This team being small on its own, or within a larger organization; and competing in a market or a problem space of some sort. You have to get paid to eat, so this stuff comes in handy.
